D." -journalism professor "Are you drinking?" -mom PREFACE I like to write. I like to make people laugh, whether it be with me or at me. This journal is a way for me to collect, record and organize my thoughts and explore ideas for larger pieces that I may want to submit to a magazine. Eventually I'll just write too much and put it in a three ring binder and call it a book. Or I will do neither of those things, but didn't I sound ambitious just saying that?  One time at girl scout camp we were supposed to write our hope/dream on a piece of paper and throw it onto the fire so it would go up to heaven and God would grant our wish... or something (oops, I don't believe in God, sorry Troop 1892). I wrote on my piece of scrap paper "I want for there to be peace around the world," but on the back I wrote "...but what I really want is to be an actress." I don't anymore, but it's a funny story, that at a young age I'd value media attention over world peace.
