... are awful, but become a bit more tolerable when I've found the right movie to fit my mood.

Oh, such a classic. I've watched this movie at least five hundred times. My childhood was much like this, but with less cancer and more cheating and chaos. It's one of the very few movies about people that have made me cry.

I was bawling by the end and I had already seen it like 3 times. The dialogue is so natural. My mom said that when I was a wee one I would quote some of the lines. I read a review that said, "Terms of Endearment feels as much like life as any movie I can think of."
